Americana roots…

Based in Portland, Oregon, Larry provides magnetic, fast-paced entertainment steeped with electrifying banjo, guitar and vocals that will every person in the audience.  Larry has brought his heart and passion for Americana music to over 2,000 audiences on three continents. Starting his career in Southern California, performing at Knott’s Berry Farm, Larry has toured the country, performing in festivals, private events and concerts and is a National Yodeling Champion. Larry has opened for Willie Nelson, Bonnie Raitt, Lily Tomlin and Pete Seeger and has been on three European concert tours.

Larry counts the Carter Family, Earl Scruggs, Woody Guthrie, Kingston Trio, Johnny Cash, Eagles, Hank Williams, Sons of the Pioneers, Bill Monroe, Irving Berlin and Chet Atkins as some of his strongest influences in Americana music.

As a musicologist and curator of American music, Larry brings fascinating stories behind the artists and songs remind us how we are all part of the great music of America!
