Yodeling [Larry Wilder and Nolan Bronson] Demonstration of beginning to fancy yodels Getting started Being comfortable breaking the voice Students will “yodel along” Tunes that include yodeling Adding more advanced techniques Yodeling tricks and care of the voice Yodeling greats – cowboy and “blue” yodelers Classic yodeling songs performed including harmony yodeling 6. Autoharp [Larry Wilder] Demonstration and instruction in Appalachian style Autoharp Simplicity stressed Melodies with accompanying rhythm at the same time Hands on familiarity and playing 7. Americana Musicology [All three Trio members as needed] Discussion of six genres/eras of Americana music Demonstrations of tunes Fusions, connections, evolution of songs Audio/visual enrichment as is feasible Old-time, bluegrass, folk, cowboy, gospel & Appalachian tunes demonstrated _____________________________________ >For all workshops, visual and audio recording are encouraged.
